A fast, flat fee uncontested divorce in Suffolk County
If you and your spouse agree on how to end the marriage, you should not pay litigation prices or wait a year for a judgment. Beau Taylor Law, PLLC handles uncontested divorces throughout Suffolk County and Long Island for a flat fee of $2,500, with every document drafted, reviewed, and filed by an attorney, not a form service. Most clients sign their papers within days of the consultation and never set foot in a courtroom.
$2,500 flat
One price for the whole process. No retainer, no hourly billing, no surprise invoices.
Fast turnaround
Your agreement and court papers are typically drafted within a few business days of receiving your information.
No court appearance
In nearly all uncontested cases the judgment is granted on the papers. You stay home.
Do you qualify?
An uncontested divorce is available when both spouses agree on every issue and are willing to sign. Specifically:
- You or your spouse meets New York's residency requirement (usually one year of living in New York)
- Both spouses agree to the divorce
- You agree on custody and a parenting schedule, if you have children under 21
- You agree on child support, or on how the Child Support Standards Act will be applied
- You agree on spousal maintenance, or that neither spouse will receive it
- You agree on how to divide property and debts, including the house and retirement accounts
- Your spouse will sign the papers or can be served and will not contest
If you are not sure whether you qualify, the free consultation answers that question in about twenty minutes. Many couples who think they disagree discover the remaining gaps are small enough to close in a single conversation.

How it works
Consultation
Free, by phone, video, or at the Hampton Bays or Hauppauge office. We confirm the terms you have agreed on and that the case qualifies.
Drafting
You complete a short intake. The settlement agreement and court papers are drafted within a few business days and reviewed with you line by line.
Signing and filing
Both spouses sign before a notary. The case is filed in Suffolk County Supreme Court and submitted for the judge's signature. We send you the certified judgment when it is entered.
How long does it take?
The part you control, agreeing and signing, can be done in a week. After filing, the Suffolk County Supreme Court reviews and signs uncontested judgments in its own time, commonly several weeks to a few months depending on the calendar. The firm files complete, correct papers the first time so the court does not send them back, which is the most common cause of delay.
Why hire an attorney for an uncontested divorce?
Online form services produce paperwork. They do not tell you that the agreement you are signing waives your share of a pension, leaves you on the hook for a joint debt, or sets child support below the statutory amount in a way the court will reject. The settlement agreement will govern your finances and your children for years. For $2,500 you get a lawyer who drafts it correctly, explains it to you, and takes responsibility for getting it through the court.
Serving all of Suffolk County
Uncontested divorces are handled for clients throughout Suffolk County, including Hampton Bays, Southampton, East Hampton, Westhampton, Riverhead, Southold, Hauppauge, Smithtown, Islip, Brookhaven, Huntington, and Babylon, and for Nassau County residents by arrangement. Because the process is paper based, you can complete it entirely by phone, video, and email if you prefer.
